''Dr'', in accounting we call it debit and not doctor. Debit by itself has no significant meaning, it merely means that an entry is posted to the left side of a T-account. ''Cr'', in accounting we call it credit. Again, credit by itself has no significant meaning, it is an entry posted to the right side of a T-account.
